None reported

Observations

Terrain: Traveled into Pickhandle Basin, up to the ridge, over to Crown Point, then over to Bullion Peak before descending Bullion Basin and approach-track to Crystal parking lots.

Avalanches: No new observed, but was back at the car at 13:00. Plenty of saggy looking cornices and some skier triggered rollerballs today. Plenty of evidence of recent Wet Loose activity

Snowpack: Melt freeze crusts on all aspects except due North above ~5000' where some cold dry snow still exists. Other aspects had the crust soften at different points throughout the morning creating a mixed bag of firm crust, breakable crust, "corn", wind-pressed powder, and other springlike snow. The snowpack has not fully transitioned to its springtime state.

Weather: High clouds and sunshine. Warm temperatures with a cool breeze helping to insulate ridgelines a bit

Media

Firm surfaces in the morning. No snow left in the trees. Been a warm week with plenty of melt-freeze cycles
Cornices that grew large during last weekend's wind event have started to taper or sag due to springtime weather
