Comments:
We triggered three small wind slab pockets while skiing today. They were generally 6" deep and only 10-15' wide. What was interesting was these slabs were well below ridgeline on exposed open slopes.

Observations

Terrain: We traveled in the immediate White Pass backcountry. Hogback Mt. Miriam Lake, Gunsight Peak. Near treeline, all aspects.

Avalanches: Besides the pockets of wind slab, we also saw 1 new loose wet avalanche on a SE aspect at 6600'.

Snowpack: Very aspect dependent. E-S-W aspect, very sun affected moist snow. No crust observed. 6-8" of moist sticky heavy snow. Rollerballs on very steep slopes. On NW-N-NE settled powder, generally soft. Wind affected snow well below ridgeline .

The recent storm accumulated 6-8" of snow over the 3/24 interface.

Weather: Broken to Scattered skies. Occasional very light snow showers. Light W winds.
