Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Sunny and warm ski tour to Mt. St. Helens up the Worm Flows route on Friday, March 12. Snow started icy at the Marblemount Sno Park parking lot at 6am but became softer as the day progressed. Saw roller balls from previous days but did not observe any on Friday by 1:30pm. Skied down at about 12:30pm. Snow was soft (butter cream) and stable apart from small snow sluff from our turns as we skied down. Reached the parking lot at about 1:45pm.
