Comments:
Shady pocket triggered by debris from above - probably ran late Wed, or very early Thurs. Didn't see anything else like this ... maybe a surface hoar pocket?
None reported
Very nice day. Wind light from the west. Full sun.
True solars warmed up by 11am. Upper elevation ridgelines staying somewhat cold into the afternoon - probably due to light wind. Upper elevation snow damp to wet on solars, dry and loose on West, becoming damp around 5000' and wet around 4000'. Both dry and damp snow sluffing easily in steep terrain. Avoided one very large lenticular drift on upper mountain - strange shape and overly steep (wondering if it is an old crown that has been filled in?)
Lots of evidence of previous large avalanche cycles in valley above Tomyhoi Lake -0 some timber in the debris.
