Observations

Terrain: We traveled in the Hogback and Gunsight areas. N-E-S aspects 5400'-6800'

Avalanche: No new avalanches observed.

Snowpack: 4-6" (10-15cm) of recent snow over the newest crust (3/5). We also received an additional inch during the day. The recent snow is generally well bonded to the 3/5 crust, though this bond seems to be weakening. The 3/5 crust is very thick (8-12" 20-30cm) and supportable. We did not investigate deeper layers in the snowpack.

Weather: Broken to overcast skies with occasional sun breaks. Light to moderate snow for the majority of the day. Lots of graupel. Winds were light and variable.
