Observations

Morning tour, back to lot at 12pm. Visibility poor. 3" new snow -- dense and very well bonded to older snow surface. Light crusts from Sunday and Monday evident up to 5000ft - less so above that.

Ski pen 4-5", Boot Pen 18-20". Riding conditions good.

Cracking limited to recently wind-loaded features. Ski cut several small test slopes with no result.

Spent most of my time probing for the Mid-January crust: ~300cm at 5400ft SE; ~150cm at 5400ft W (wind-scoured); 285cm 5000ft N; 275cm 5000ft W
