Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Obviously this is not an in person, on location observation, but useful all the same. This picture was taken by a neighbor up here at the pass in a very brief moment of clearing between weather systems this afternoon. As you can see there was a significant natural slide that took place on the south aspect of Red Mountain. It appears that this slide was probably on the Jan weakness based on the crown depth.
