Signs of Unstable Snow
Avalanche Obs: See above. Triggered a sz 2 storm slab on a wind loaded feature off of Huntoon Point. Visibility was poor so we couldn’t capture a good photo, but the crown depth was approx. 41cms.
Snowpack Obs: Numerous hand shears reported sudden planar shears down 41cms on Feb. 11th interface. Upper snowpack was generally right side up except in wind loaded places; generally ranging from 15-20cms of F-4F- snow, and gradually increasing in density.
Weather Obs: Mix sun & cloud. Strong solar input when sun was out. Light winds from the SW.

Widespread; up to D2; likely; on Feb. 11th
Observed Avalanche Problem #2:
Numerous wet loose on solar aspects today. Sun effect was strong when it came out. Widespread on all steep solar aspects. Up to D1; very likely w/ sun effect.
Observed Avalanche Problem #3:
Numerous loose dry avalanches were triggered and entrained a ton of new snow as they slid down each path. Can range in size from .5-1.5 based on length of path and snow entrainment. Likelihood of triggering: Very likely
