Beautiful day, cold in the morning, warm in the sun. Little wind, some previous transport in exposed areas.
As far as I could tell, the mountains east of Hwy 97 at Blewett Pass picked up minimal snow yesterday, but not far to the west of the highway it appeared to have snow significantly more.
A crop of surface hoar was growing, observed around 5mm and sitting on thin crust or slightly denser surfaces.
Minimal signs of instability besides a small wet loose cycle around mid day, but I only traveled up to around 4,500ft.
The sun is starting to have a greater influence on aspects. Many slopes besides NE-NW will have a sun crust after today.
