I saw a few smaller avalanches at 4300 feet on the open slopes that lead up towards Kendall under a cliff. I wasn’t very close but I would guess they had a crown of roughly 1.5-2 feet. 40ft across.

Observations

I followed the main trail towards common wealth basin for longer than I usually do so I could be on lower angle slopes. I popped out of the trees towards Kendall to take a quick look at things while keeping a distance from the open slopes. I saw a few smaller avalanches at 4300 feet on the open slopes that lead up towards Kendall under a cliff. I wasn’t very close but I would guess they had a crown of roughly 1.5-2 feet. 40ft across. I did a quick and not very pretty hand pit test and had it break roughly 30-40cm down from a few different tests. Attached you can see how easily it broke off, I am no expert but I do not usually see it break off before even touching the column.
