Bend, Oregon. Tumalo Mountain's East bowl, about 20 feet wide, from top to the bottom flats, about 2-3 feet deep

very deep snow, some natural release from the cornice (previous) seen before skiing into the bowl of Tumalo Mountain. 2 people at the bottom were swept off their skis and were buried up to their waists. No one hurt, but lost ski poles which could not be found.
