Comments:
Bailed on the Phantom due to very touchy conditions. Most wind affected snow in the trees was cracking and propogating. Ultimately turned around after having a 10 yard pocket rip 8" deep in fairly dense trees. Avalanche broke on (fist density) new snow.

Observations

In wind prone areas, winds scoured light density snow to the Jan crust and new snow sits on top of a Knife hardness sliding surface.
