Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

Widespread surface hoar throughout the entirety of the zone (HUGE and sharp), including under thick stands of trees. Also what appeared to have been graupel at one point has grown into 1/4”-1/2” diameter balls of snow that act a lot like ball bearings. Found this layer buried under variable depths of wind transported snow. Definitely a mousetrap to take note of as the new snow moves in.

Active wind happening throughout the day.

Lots of interesting snow to take note of!
