Observations

The snowpack has several hard slab layers separated by ran and melt-freeze layers. Extended column block failed on cutting 3.5 in from top as a clean slab. The failure was under the well defined ice crust. The shovel compression test failed at 6, 10, 15 in deep with ct5, ct15, ct23 respectively. All failures classified as Clean Q1. The shovel sheer test failed STH at depth 25in.

We skied the slope as it was low angle (23deg) treed slope. See snow profile for details.
