Traveled from 4000 to 7200ft on mostly west facing aspects. Storm snow was 35-40cm deep. Below 5500ft on S to SW slopes the storm snow was overlaying a slight MF crust that formed on 2/5. Our observations indicated the storm snow was bonding to this crust.
Dug a quick pit at 7200ft on a SW aspect. The top 70cm of snow consists of right side up new storm snow and rounded grains. Compression tests and shovels tilt tests indicated storm snow instabilities 30cm below the surface.

At 70cm there is a weak layer of rounding faceted grains.
