Observations
We toured north from highway 12, just west of white Pass. We dug several pits in a low angle meadow (4700 ft East aspect) and saw instability on multiple weak layers. We got a CT 3 (easy) - planar- on a weak layer of facets 54 cm below the snow surface (the 2nd major crust layer below the surface). We saw reactivity on the most recent crust in other tests as well. The temperature fluctuated near and above freezing and wet loose signs were observed.
