Traveled by sled to 5000’ off of Whistler Creek Rd and toured in terrain on N W facing slopes that were less than 35 degrees. Riding and touring was deep, with 1-3’ of low density snow. Surface hoar had formed overnight with the skies clearing and cool temps.
With the great visibility we could see many recent avalanches that had run during the storm, including a very large one on Bearpaw Mt.
By 11am steep solar aspects were beginning to have small wet loose releases.
It was a gorgeous day!
