Rapidly warming to 4500'+ by 1100 and cold snow turning to mashed potatoes. 38F at 4100' by 1130. Isolated collapses above and below decomposing 13 Jan crust. Poor structure around 13 Jan crust/facets above and below crust (thick 1-2cm band below crust, 2-3mm in size). Surface hoar above crust in several hand pits. Insufficient slab and sufficiently low slope angles to preclude avalanche activity at the location we skied around 5200'. HS 115cm 4800'. HST from last week's storms: 25-30cm.
With plenty of water and wind on the way, this structure is likely to be tested across the zone in early part of February.
