Observations

Snowshoe trip up Rampart "Vista". Toured from 2800' up to 4800' on south Rampart ridge, starting from Gold Creek snow park. Minimal snow cover at Sno Park. Icy AR crust covered in a few CM of slushy, wet snow which provided surprisingly good traction. Found heavy wet new snow from 4500' up as well as wind-affected snow on exposed SW-facing slopes. Windy above 4,000 (although that might be because we were no longer protected by dense tree cover). Warm temps (above freezing at all levels traveled in today) and zero precip.
