Made a ski cut across the face to see how reactive the zone was and triggered a D1-1.5 storm slab, about 8" deep. It propagated above me and all the way across a ridge and carried quite far, about 200-300m down a gully. Slope was likely around 30 degrees.

Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

Saw that a previous skier had triggered a small slab one gully over. I made a ski cut across the face to see how reactive the zone was and triggered a D1-1.5 storm slab, about 8" deep. It propagated above me and all the way across a ridge and carried quite far, about 200-300m down a gully. It had been actively storming throughout the tour and we only skied in low angle, treed terrain in Swift Creek.
