While at the base of the rocks of Pan Dome Falls, we triggered a small wet slide (a few meters wide) mainly from the fresh and wet deep surface layer which sort of collapsed. It was enough to bury some of our gear and catch 1 person and tumble him a few meters down the slope. Standing your ground was enough to stop the snow though.

After the slide we could see a frozen deeper layer that got revealed. In general the top layer of fresh snow was very deep in certain places (more than a meter). There were a few cornices of fresh snow above, so climbers should evaluate the terrain before setting up any gear. Often there was wind blown snow falling from above.
