Signs of Unstable Snow

Did you see shooting cracks?
No
Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing?
Yes, Isolated

Observations

Experienced some whumpfing between 4500-4800 on W aspect.

Through multiple hand pits, saw consistently poor bond with new snow on facets above 1/23 crust. The 1/23 crust was down anywhere from 5-15cm on W aspect based on wind scouring. More pertinent was the consistent facets (~6cm) below 1/23 crust and above 1/13 crust. Got localized cracking with great effort above switchback corners and fortunately very little slab formation today. Likely to change with more dense snow this weekend.
