Traveled up skin track to 5800’ level several hundred yards ENE of Windy Knob.. because of the concerning forecast from yesterday, stayed below ridgetops and observed no wind loading. The crust was up to 12” down with nice light snow on it. We were very careful and probably followed yesterdays observer’s skin track in the woods, and on slopes of less than 30 degrees....The crust was hard and concerning, so we stayed below 30 degrees all day. Great powder day!
