Observations

Toured Mission Peak environs, ski penetration was down to the rain crust when turning. 10cm ski penetration when touring. Very low density snow, ski cut several steeper slopes, generated point release dry sloughs. Observed isolated soft slab in wind affected areas. Dry sloughs were not shearing on rain crust, possibly bonding to the first snow that came in on the rain crust fairly warm. Did not dig, surface observations only.
