Comments:
We were climbing the SE face of McClellans Butte. Our lead climber set off a small slide but since we were on a a 45-50 deg slope front pointing and daggering with our ice axes the following two got hit pretty hard. One was knocked from their stance but was able to self arrest 20 ft below, the other was able to hold their position. About 30 seconds later a second slide hit but both climbers were able to hold their position. Both of these slides were small but given the angle of the slope and how icy it was, it would have been a very long ride down with possibly serious consequences. We continued to the summit as it was much easier than going down and then took the standard trail route down to the TH.
