Observations

Poor bond between new snow (HST 10cm at 1200; HS 195cm 6300' NE) and old snow. Multiple crusts, including MLK weekend freezing rain, 1/12 rain, which is breaking down, with weak snow in between most of them. Buried surface hoar under 1/24 snow in sheltered areas NTL and slick crusts ATL and elsewhere with sun. Best turns moderate angle slopes with a northerly tilt.

Slab propagated locally on skin track switchback on 35-degree slope. Surface hoar on the MLK weekend freezing rain crust. 6200' NE...
Crust and facet sandwiches. 6000' NE. Surface hoar under 1/24 storm snow at this location.
