Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Enchantments zone:

Challenging travel conditions. All aspects and elevations had evidence of slide activity from 1/12 rain event.

Northerly aspects had supportable crust over granular snow. Not much new snow, if any, on the crust to start the day. Some surface hoar noted. Southerly aspects had stout breakable crust over granular snow that made the skiing rather unpleasant.

The current surface crust/faceted snow interface will certainly be a layer to watch as it becomes buried
