Observations

Camped at Sand Lake on Friday night. Clear skies and no wind through the night.

Toured up the PCT - skied on a variety of aspects.

Below 5000 ft: ice and consolidated snow with firm crust . Above 5000 ft : 2-3 inches of loose dry snow on top of icy crust, though still enjoyable to ski. Clearings and open slopes had significant surface hoar.

Surface Snow got a little stickier as the day went on but with little effect on the underlying ice crust.
