Signs of Unstable Snow
Sunny morning with strong solar transitioning to fog and light snow in early afternoon. Surface had a robust surface hoar measuring 1-2cm that lasted through the solar morning and will likely be buried by any new snow overnight or into the morning. 1cm crust under the SH, then 15cm of low density snow (DF) down to the 1/13 crust.
Observed Avalanche Problem #1:
Paradise area had stronger than expected solar input; observed a skier triggered D1 in the top 15cm above the 1/13 crust.
