Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

Lots of evidence of avalanches from the past cycle, but nothing observed from the <1 inch of recent snow, or from wind drifted snow. The new snow was not well bonded to the crust below which made ski crampons really helpful for uphill travel. Hot sun and no clouds made for a big difference in ski conditions and small rollers that didn’t gather steam on aspects we traveled on (did the tour CCW).
