Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Scattered valley fog, becoming patchy mid day, light winds with recent moderate drifting from the East on exposed features above 4K.

No reactivity with 1F-P hard slabs from high point 5.6K and below.

Quick pit on NE at 4950ft, leeward side of an open, burn zone. HS was 180cm, 12/21 down 90cm as 3cm layer of decomposed melt forms. Not a super strong crust, and did find some weak snow surrounding it.
No planar results with tilt tests in upper 50cm. CTM, BRK down 50cm.
Deep Tap Test Moderate, sudden collapse within 12/21.
