Comments:
This was a very large avalanche to come across. This avalanche had the potential to bury or destroy a car or even a small house. The toe of the debris came quite close to the road by the looks of it from up high. It likely ran last week (monday?) when we received several inches of snow water equivalent. I could not gather much more due to the poor visibility.

On saturday my partner and I found a wet saturated snowpack with a melt-freeze crust below the elevations of 3000 ft. Above 3000 ft we found a slight sun crust on southerly aspects likely from Thursday. Overall, we did not get any signs of instability. The new snow appeared to have settled and seemed more cohesive since previous days. However, we did witness some SH and Near-surface faceting occurring on the surface, something to keep in mind for our next cycle of precipitation.
