Observations

Avalanche Obs: No new avalanche obs were observed in our area. Low visibility and limited observable terrain may have biased our obs.

Snowpack Obs: Did numerous hand shears while approaching towards Surveyor's Lake in openings in the trees. Results were moderate, but resistant planar results down approx. 31cms on a storm density change. We dug a test profile at 3800' on a S aspect in an opening BTL. We observed moderate, resistant results on a compression test down 31cms on this same storm density change, and upon conduction of an ECT, they did not propagate.

Weather Obs: In AM, snow was falling between S2 and S3. Temps were cool (below freezing at pass level), and rose above freezing around mid-day. Precip shifted from snow to rain at 3800'.
