Observations

Salmon la sac
Snow felt soft and stable the entire day, light snow turned to heavy snow.
Could not feel the crust( party of 5 all checking all day) pole test deeper than the break felt no crust.
The slide did break as I ski'd below a convexity on a low angle aspect, I had just triggered a much smaller D1 on my first turn and unfortunately this was my best egress given the situation we were in. The snow did ski really well, thank God, as I outrank the slide on a diagonal traverse.
Lessons were learned knowledge was reinforced.
