Signs of Unstable Snow

Did you see shooting cracks?
Yes, Isolated
Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing?
Yes, Isolated

Observations

Ski tour of Yodelin area found thick heavy storm snow. Warming temps throughout the day made this new snow very heavy and difficult to ski. Observed about 15-25" storm slab over what appeared to be 12/21 crust. This was very stable, but was reactive on steeper pitches and features where that crust was a little closer to the surface. Spotted few shooting cracks and a collapse along that layer, but very isolated on specific terrain features - namely some steeper features in the old growth areas.
