Skinned up to Big Trees early this morning. "If you touch it, it will avalanche" was the mantra this morning. Snow was properly up-side-down. Near the top of Big Trees/Bottom of Pineapple Basin we witnessed a large natural slide coming off Bryant and were reminded that the upper portion of Big Trees is exposed to Bryant. Couldn't really see where the slide started but it fortunately petered out before coming over into the gully climber's right of Big Trees.
On the descent of Big Trees, multiple roll overs and steeper sections were triggered and/or remote triggered. In that area nothing major moved, but indicated an incredibly touchy snowpack. Seemed to be all storm snow. But that slide off Bryant was spooky. Big Naturals were happening today in the Snoqualmie area. Head-on-a-Swivel conditions for sure!

Couldn't see the starting zone or really the slide at all until it poured down into No-Fog off Bryant. Pretty Significant slide. Was almost worried it would cross the Big Tress skin track.

gnarly day out there today, and getting worse. Even micro terrain was at play in a significant way today. Avalanche eye-balls out!!
