Did you see shooting cracks?
Yes, Widespread
Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing?
Yes, Isolated

Observations

Skied slopes less then 30 in sheltered glades terrain. Avoided open slopes and large lee aspects due to rapid wind loading.

Media

If you look closely you can see settling and cracks on the lee slope from the weight of the skier.

Advanced Observations

Observed Avalanche Problem #1:
Wind Slab
Comments:
Observed widespread wind loading on lee slopes at and above tree line. Wind slabs and cornices were forming rabidly. Fresh cornices were easy to fail and effect snow deposited on the lee slopes.
