Observations

Travelled between 2.1k and 5.7k elevations with primarily SE-facing ski terrain above 4k. Observed weather and snowpack was in line with forecast. Valley fog was present all day below about 4k. When I broke out of it around 10 am, I saw blue sky but high clouds quickly began building and remained throughout the rest of the day (with occasional filtered sunshine). Observed between 2" of snow above a crust at 4k up to about 6" at 5.6k in sheltered terrain. HS 100 cm at 4k and 140 cm at 5.6k. Observed widespread hoar frost on trees and surface in sheltered terrain at 4.5k. Observed signs of previous wind transport at ridgeline. Best skiing was found on more easterly aspects on lower angled terrain with dust on crust conditions. Turns were crustier on steeper terrain and on more southerly aspects.
