Roller balls and some cornice failures in the afternoon sun on easy slopes in a narrow elevation range.

No avalanche activity was seen above 4200' and no evidence of slides in recent days. Above 5500' winds had scoured the ridges back down to the earlier ice layer leaving only sporadic wind slabs up to 6" thick in saddles. Wind transported snow in lee valleys had a compact snow crust and was generally no more than 10 inches deep.
