Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

There was lots of variable crust out riding. Some exposed ice on the surface and some covered with 8 - 12" of snow from wind transportation. There is a wide spread surface hoar building on most aspects. This example was from an E/ SE aspect. The sun was not melting anything on our ride.
