Observations

Images from tour and travels this morning at the pass.

Short version, which I anticipate my partner may elaborate with greater skill: Prominent hard/slick raincrust underlies boot-top dry snow in most locations in the Source Lake area. N side Chair was windscoured and icy, scary enough to turn us around. Negligible snow moved for us, skiing was best on protected S/E facing slopes.
