When over to Radio peak to search of 1) wind slabs, 2) status of the Solstice rain crust. Didn't find any wind slabs but did see lots of new overnight surface hoar. The solstice crust is under 20cm of unconsolidated power. Right below the rain crust, the snow is very loose for 5cm. The next 60cm down to the 12/9 crust is very (stick to the shovel) wet. The 12/9 crust seems to be softening here from the wet snow above. Got a CT21 RP @160
The other notable thing was the temp different between the surface (-6.5C) and 20cm below (-0.5). It will be interesting to see what happens if the next couple of days stay cool.
