Cautiously set out to climb the south face of the Tooth today. Despite ~75cm loading from the last 48h in the summer approach gully, there were no signs of instability. Snow was so cold that it felt like the Rockies. Cornice was passable with some minor shoveling on the ascent. West side of the approach pass was thin with no signs of instability. Cornice into the descent gully is now well shoveled for the rappel. Photos of respective cornices are attached for your viewing pleasure.
