Comments:
Avalanche was triggered skiing the E/SE facing trees from Bullion Peak down towards Union Creek. We were well skiers right of the prominent open slopes in this area. The slide was triggered on a relatively open slope with a covex roll around 38 degrees in steepness. As this was the steepest slope we had encountered on the day we made a ski cut and triggered a soft slab 1-2.5 feet deep, about 40 feet wide that ran an unknown distance through the trees below us. The slab failed on a layer of surface hoar.
