Observations

We toured to Austin Pass and skied an east facing aspect on Swift Creek. On a SE aspect in the meadow on the bottom of swift creek basin we dug a pit and performed stability tests (see picture). Throughout our tour we performed hand sheers on various windloaded aspects which yielded resistant planar results at multiple interfaces within the new snow. The blocks required moderate force to pull out in the morning and became increasingly easy to pull out by afternoon.
