Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Steady light rain turning to sleet around 5600'. Snow saturated, consolidated and non reactive below treeline. Snow at & above treeline was drier and test slopes failed and slid with energy but did not propagate or entrain new snow. Roller balls observed on >40 degree slopes.
