Light / moderate snow throughout the day and sustained moderate winds with strong gusts. New snow was wet. Did not observe any windslab formation in the morning but conditions intensified and the afternoon and exposed north facing slopes began to exhibit signs of windslab. Out group turned bailed at the entrance of a NW facing slope at 4800 due to quickly changing conditions in the afternoon and evidence of windslab formation: 10-15 cm of 4F+ Wind effected snow over F with easy handshears. Two snowboarders reportedly triggered an avalanche on this slope right beneath us although I wasn’t able to confirm this due to low vis.
