Observations

Travel did not exceed the NTL elevation. Overall decent conditions with the scrape sounding worse than it felt and low angle terrain delivering smooth turns.

Weather: Cool temps, light wind, ovc skies, until mid day.

Snowpack: No standardized obs, no wind effect observed, approximately 10cm HN24, Dec 9th crust was ski supportable but boot pen was up to the boot top (~35cm). As of this morning surface form was not faceting.

Avy: About 6 old wet slab/ glide avalanches observed from the prior 36 hours. All in steeper terrain 40ish degrees on polar aspects. Many of the crowns still held hanging blocks of snow estimated up to 120cm deep. Had 1 loose dry release on an isolated steep slope (45 degrees) that quickly eased & did not run far or fast.
