Observations

Skinned from the resort to the top of Hogback. The south facing aspect was pretty crusty so we decided to traverse the ridge to the more north facing slope. Lots of wind loading as the west side of the ridge was scrubbed pretty clean. The surface was a firm wind pack. We dug a small pit to check before skiing the ~40 degree slope. We couldn't really do a column test because every time we tried to isolate one, it broke and slid smoothly at the bottom of the wind packed layer 8" deep. We skied out the ridge to lower angle slopes and traversed back.
