Observations

Started in the rain around 8am, which switched to light snow at~4500’. Only an inch or two of new snow from last night covered yesterdays roller balls and tracks. A breakable rain crust was observed in all aspects and elevations traveled, but more pronounced on west and south aspects. Winds overnight created small cornices but there was not enough loose snow to transport into slabs in the terrain we traveled through. Curious to see what becomes of the snow above/below this thin rain interface after the upcoming high pressure?

11/28 Rain + MF crust ~ 5500’ in the Phantom.
Small fresh cornices, not much fresh snow to blow around
